Service Cable Electric, Inc. has been established in Central Florida since 1995 and has a diverse electrical / communications background in Hospitality / Entertainment and Commercial projects. Our understanding of our customer’s needs helps us to complete electrical projects with absolute quality assurance, on schedule and on budget.

When Service Cable Electric is involved in the initial design phase of a project, we can add value by providing a practical perspective to any design. We have the knowledge and experience to save our clients time and money, not only on their current projects, but on future projects as well.

TEAM MEMBERS

ANTHONY K. SCRUGGS, President
A.K. "Tony" Scruggs graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering. He holds a State Certified Electrical Contractor’s License and is also licensed as a Professional Engineer. His experience includes Sales Engineer for Square D Company; Vice President of Design-Build with Advanced Electric; and Electrical Technical Specialist with Landmark Contract Management where he provided extensive technical support during the construction of Universal Studios Florida. Tony subsequently established A.K. Scruggs and Associates, Inc. as a consulting engineering firm and Service Cable Electric, Inc., an electrical contracting firm, to provide electrical contracting services on a design and build basis. Tony is involved in all facets of project management, from initial concept to final completion; including contract negotiation, preparation and review of design documents, value engineering, assisting in on-site construction administration, and field direction. Tony draws from his 25 years of experience to provide cost-effective and technically accurate engineering and is very proficient in orchestrating field modifications to accommodate the dynamic aspect of fast track design and construction.

ERIC DILLER, Vice President/Operations Manager
Eric has over 25 years of experience in the Electrical trade and has worked as an Electrical Foreman, Electrical Designer and Estimator on numerous projects. Eric has been with Service Cable Electric since inception as Vice President and Operations Manager. He is involved in all facets of project management, from estimating through final completion; including contract negotiation, submittals, purchasing, review of all project documents and serving as on-site construction administrator. Eric is a licensed Journeyman and holds a State Electrical Contractor’s license.

MARK BRADY, Designer/Drafting
Mark has over 15 years of experience in Computer Drafting & Design. He graduated from Keiser College of Technology in 1992 and has been with Service Cable Electric/A.K. Scruggs & Associates for over 12 years. Mark assists in all facets of project design and generation of working construction documents. Mark also creates as-built project documentation generated from field mark-ups at the completion of projects.

MATTHEW J. KALUSH "Matt", Estimator
Matt has been in the Construction Industry for over 13 Years and has been in the Electrical Industry for 10 of those. Matt has worked as a Field Foreman, Project Manager, Inside Marketing Rep and Outside Sales Rep. He holds a Master Electrical License and is responsible for Fast and Accurate Estimates, Onsite Research and a host of other key roles that makes the Service Cable Electric Team one of the best.

DERRICK MURFITT, SR. Project Manager/ Estimator
Derrick has been in the electrical trade for nearly a decade. He has worked as an Electrical Foreman, Project Manager, and Chief Estimator on numerous multi million dollar projects. He has a multitude of experience with conceptual design to “hard bid” projects. He holds a Journeyman’s License and is involved in all facets of pre-construction management through project completion; including contract negotiating, submittals, bulk purchasing, change orders, and on-site construction management. Derrick also supplements estimating, operations, and the service team to help with the success of Service Cable Electric.

BOB ADAMS, Project Manager
Bob has been in the electrical field for over 35 years, and has extensive experience as an electrician, estimator, project manager, and electrical contractor. Bob holds a State of Florida Electrical Contractor’s License, and owned his own firm for over 25 years. Bob has over 15 years of experience related to theme parks along with experience with educational facilities and major design-build projects throughout Florida. Bob brings his expertise in all phases of the electrical contracting field to compliment the Service Cable Electric team.

TOM PETKO, Purchasing
Tom has over 30 years experience in the Electrical trade and over 10 years of experience in Purchasing. As a member of the Service Cable Electric Team, Tom’s combination of business expertise and creative problem solving help him to achieve outstanding business results. Tom is responsible for procuring materials and equipment , and coordinating with project managers and job foremen to make sure that they have what they need to get the job done.

SHELLY WHIDDEN, Office Manager
Shelly has been with Service Cable Electric for over 12 years and has over 10 years of experience as an Office Manager. As a vital part of the Service Cable Electric team, Shelly is responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Employee Relations, Safety, Job Costing & Permitting.

DAVE SHARP, Field Safety Director
Dave Sharp has been in the Electrical Trade since 1969. Dave worked in Heavy Construction Electrical Controls for over 10 years, and earned his Master Electrician and Electrical Contractors Licenses in 1984. Dave operated his own Electrical Company for 28 years and also performed Electrical Consulting work for various insurance companies. Dave earned his college degree in Electronics and has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of the Electrical Trade.

Dave has completed numerous safety training certifications including the 30 hour OSHA Course and is also a First Aid/CPR Instructor. He is committed to making Safety a #1 Priority at Service Cable Electric.
